Victor Harbor
A picturesque holiday town approximately half an hour from
Sunset Cove, Victor Harbor is a great spot for a day trip.
Granite Island is great for a challenging, circum-navigational
walk and there are evening tours of the Island for the chance
to see the resident Penguins returning to their nests. The
Island is accessed via a giant causeway that can be traversed
on foot or via horse drawn tram. Victor Harbor is the home
of the Whale Watch Centre - giving information about the Southern
Wright Wales that often visit the coastline during the winter
months. The Cockle Train pulls into the historic station at
Victor Harbor, if you are a steam train buff, and the town
itself offers a range of shops, restaurants, cafes and hotels
to suit all tastes.
